Day 1! Mind Blown!!!!!

I was very nervous to begin my journey with Mind Lab, venturing into the unknown...people and course content. Thankfully the welcoming faces and amazingly inviting workspaces quickly put my initial fears to rest. Of course I sat at the back table (I'm a back table kind of girl) I like to suss out my surroundings. The others at the table were easy to talk to and work with and in fact I think the group as a whole will be a great bunch to work with.

The Tutors enthusiasm and passion for what they do was obvious which made it impossible for me not to be inspired. The questions asked were difficult to answer on a Saturday morning but I'm sure we'll get used to that...thinking on a Saturday. The discussions were mind blowing to say the least. With topics like "What is the purpose of Education" and "What is knowledge?" We got extremely philosophical and ended up with more questions than answers or definitions. Mind blown! Loving it!

Group Collaboration is a fun part of our course. Task 1 - Half an hour to make a video explaining our position on the topic we discussed! Fun, stressful, collaborative...results below :)

Not a bad effort for the time given. Can't wait till next week for more mind blowing experiences!!!

Fav quote from Day 1: (Gert Biesta) The task of Education should be to fuel the desire of children and young people to exist in the world in a grown up way.
